Seawolves women's water polo coach Coralie Simmons has been selected to be an assistant coach on the women's senior national water polo team. Simmons will help guide Team USA at the World Championships in Rome this summer.

SRJC's Hernandez receives prestigious scholar athlete award

Santa Rosa Junior College swimmer David Hernandez has been named the Male Scholar Athlete of the Year by the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators.

The prestigious award, in its 17th year, is given to the male and female student athlete who best demonstrates outstanding accomplishment and leadership in academics, athletics and citizenship.

Jake Arnold wins in Italy

Santa Rosa's Jake Arnold won the Multistars Decathlon in Desenzano, Italy, on Sunday with 7,994 points to beat runner-up Roland Schwarzl of Austria by 81 points.
